TIMS provision changed

TAAN, the Trekking Agents Association has changed the provision of Trekking Management System (TIMS) in a new format from April 1.

As per the new provision, two separate TIMS Card have been introduced for trekkers travelling in groups and those travelling independently (FITs). Trekkers travelling in groups and taking the service of trekking agencies need to have Blue TIMS Card by paying USD 10 per person, while the individual trekkers need to have Green TIMS Card paying USD 20 per person.

Trekkers can get Blue TISM Card from TAAN Secretariat in Kathmandu, TAAN Secretariat in Pokhara and from any authorized trekking agencies in Kathmandu & Pokhara. Similarly, FITs can get Green TIMS Card from the office of Nepal Tourism Board in Kathmandu, TANN Secretariat in Kathmandu and TAAN Secretariat in Pokhara.
