Kanchanjunga Base Camp Trek

Kanchanjungha, the third highest peak in the world lies on the eastern border of Nepal with Sikkim. This recently opened route offers chance to explore a totally unspoiled upland wilderness, a most beautiful and contrasting variety of scenery. terraced farmland rugged pastures and breathtaking mountain scenery including close-up views of Kanchenjunga.

A journey to this remote area starts from the tropical lowlands through great rhododendron forests and lovely villages up to the glacier and snowcapped mountains.

This trek is considered as a technical challenging trek and the trekkers need to be reasonably fit and have good sense of adventures.

Grade :

Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu. Receive and transfer to hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2: Kathmandu City Tour. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 3: Fly Kathmandu - Suketar (Taplejung). Overnight at Camp.
Day 4: Trek Sukhetar - Lahure.
Day 5: Trek Lahure - Mitlung.
Day 6: Trek Mitlung - Chirwa.
Day 7: Trek Chirwa - Sakhatum.
Day 8: Trek Sakhatum - Amjilesa.
Day 9: Trek Amjilesa - Gyabla.
Day 10: Trek Gyabla - Ghunsa.
Day 11: Trek Ghunsa - Khambachen.
Day 12: Trek Khambachen - Lhonak.
Day 13: Trek Lhonak - Pang Pema Base Camp.
Day 14: Rest day in Pang Pema.
Day 15: Trek back Pang Pema - Kambachen.
Day 16: Trek back Khambachen - Ghunsa.
Day 17: Trek back Ghunsa - Amjilassa.
Day 18: Trek back Amjilasa - Chirwa.
Day 19: Trek back Chirwa - Linkhim.
Day 20: Trek back Linkhim - Sukhetar.
Day 21: Fly back Sukhetar – Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 22/23/24: Free days. These days are spare days and use as supplementary days in case the flights to/from Sukhetar cancelled/delayed due to bad weather. These days can be used for optional sightseeing/shopping in Kathmandu. On the last day evening, a farewell dinner at Nepalese typical restaurant with culture show will be provided. Overnight at hotel.
Day 25: Departure. Transfer to airport for final departure.
Note: The itinerary can be customized according to your duration of holiday. Similarly hotel in the cities can be upgraded or degraded depend on your budget.
