Rolwaling – Khumbu Valley Trek


The combination of Rolwaling and Khumbu trekking provides an experience of the remoteness of eastern region of Nepal. It also provides romantic mountain views, diverse flora and fauna and rich local cultures. This trek requires a good walking experience and a good physical form. Tashi lepta Pass is one of the adventure points of this trekking. Ramdung Peak climbing is the bonus side trip and need peak climbing permit.

High in a side-valley, above the summer settlement of Na with its yak pastures and stone-walled potato fields, we encamped in a wide snow-basin enclosed by the ice-bound Chugimago and Yalung Ri. A magnificent outlook extended across the Rolwaling Valley to the imposing Chobutse and Kang Nachugo lining the northern border with Tibet. Your trip lead on to Tashi Lapcha one of the famous Himalayan Passes in Nepal through Chho Rolpa and enter Khumjung Valley. You will encounter many well-known Sherpa Villages like Thame and Namche, the gate way to Mt. Everest expedition.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu. Receive and transfer to hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2: Kathmandu City Tour. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 3: Drive Kathmandu – Charikot Ratmate (1998m). Overnight in tent.
Day 4: Trek Ratmate – Bagar.
Day 5: Trek Bagar – Jagat.
Day 6: Trek Jagat – Simigaun.
Day 7: Trek Simigaun – Yak Kharka.
Day 8: Trek Yak Kharka – Beding (3693m).
Day 9: Trek Beding – Na (4183m).
Day 10: Rest Day for acclimatization at Na.
Day 11: Trek Na – Chho Rolpa Lake.
Day 12: Trek Chho Rolpa Lake – Glacier.
Day 13: Trek Glacier – Tashilaptsha Pass (5755m) – Pachherma BC.
Day 14: Trek Pachherma BC – Thame (3800m).
Day 15: Rest Day at Thame – Visit Monastery.
Day 16: Trek Thame – Namche Bazaar (3440m).
Day 17: Trek Namche – Phakdingma (2640m).
Day 18: Trek Phakdingma – Lukla (2840m).
Day 19: Fly back to Lukla – Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 20/21: Free days. These two days are spare days for flight delay/cancellation from Lukla. These days can be used for optional sightseeing/shopping in Kathmandu. On day 21st evening, a farewell dinner at Nepalese typical restaurante will be provided.Overnight at hotel.
Day 22: Departure. Transfer to airport for final departure.
Note: The trek can be operated in both teahouses and camping (combine) on your request. The itinerary can be customized according to your duration of holiday. Similarly hotel can be upgraded or degraded depend on your budget.
