During your trip ::



Upon your arrival in destination country, our representative will receive and transfer to hotel. Usually same day in the evening, orientation briefing on your tour will be given by our tour manager and accordingly your tour starts next day from the gateway hotel lobby as per the final tour/trek itinerary provided, normally after breakfast. Make sure you have your bags packed, eaten breakfast and have checked out of your room before meeting your tour/trek guide in the hotel lobby. You will spend a few minutes filling out paperwork and meeting your friends/fellow trekkers before leaving the hotel.

FOOD & RESTAURANTS
  • In big cities, you will find a wide array of international selections
  • All meals while on trek are included
  • Look for a restaurant where lots of locals are eating - chances are the food will be delicious and reasonable
  • Eat only foods that are thoroughly cooked, and raw fruits and vegetables that you have peeled yourself
  • Drink only bottled drinks where possible (or boiled water), and avoid tap water, fountain drinks and ice cubes
  • Don't buy food from street vendors or stalls, and don’t eat food that is no longer hot
  • Avoid fresh salads unless the vegetables are washed with purified water, and avoid dairy products that are unpasteurized or may not have been refrigerated properly SPECIAL REMARKS:
    People
  • You will find the people in all destinatons to be very open and friendly
  • It is best to ask permission before entering houses, or before taking portrait photos
  • If in doubt, ask the guide
  • Your old clothing (in good condition) is an excellent and appreciated gift idea to your guides and the local people

    DON’T:
  • Point with a single finger
  • Touch holy men
  • Eat with your left hand
  • Smoke in religious settings
  • Offer pens, toys, stickers, etc. to children unless it is to the children of your guide(s)

    DO:
  • Respect religious customs
  • Remove your shoes when entering a home, temple or monastery
  • Cover yourself when entering a temple or monastery
  • Make donations to monasteries

    A TYPICAL DAY FOR TREKKING:
    Teahouse (Lodge) Trek; the regular day begins with wake up call around 7 am and after having breakfast you will start the trek and normally after walking 3/4 hours you will stop for the lunch for 1/1&1/2 hours and then start again walking until 5/6pm in the after noon. Dinner and breakfast will provide at the lodge. For the lodge trek depending on group size, we provide English speaking trek guide, assistant guide and porter (normally 1 porter for 2 members) to carry your baggage. You are suggested to bring your on sleeping bag to ensure yourself warm enough in the night, however every lodge provide blankets. Meals during the trek will be hygienically prepared western and local food. Though, we suggest you not to eat raw food like salad and avoid drinking tap water.

    Fully organised (camping) Trek; the regular day begins with wake up call at 6 am with hot cup of tea. You all should have to pack up your belongings and followed by a bowl of hot water for washing. And ready for breakfast, we set off on the morning's walk. You have to carry is a small day pack containing day needed goods like water bottle, camera, sun cream, hat, rain jacket and a warm jumper, just in case. The porters or yaks will carry the rest. We stop for lunch at around mid day after waling a 3 to 4 hr. After lunch we continue our walk for 2 to 3 hr. Our regular walk is 5 to 6 hours daily to have afternoon tea at camp side. You dinner is served 6 to 7 pm onwards. You will share your experience jokes, dancing, and singing. Our guide will explain about next day program.

    CAMPING & EQUIPMENT:
    We camp mostly in village payable campgrounds. Campsites are selected either for their scenic beauty as well as facilities specially water facility. We provide two-man tent, so there's lots of room. It's up to you whom you wish to share with.

    Previous camping experience is useful but not at all essential as your Trek Guide will help you. Our Sherpa staffs will set up the tents and our experience kitchen staffs prepare delicious western & local food for you. Camping is a group activity, and everyone is expected to help clean and take care of all equipment during the tour.

    EMERGENCY SERVICES
  • Medical treatment is available in the cities at small clinics & hospitals
  • There are clinics that specialize in the treatment of altitude sickness
  • We provide gamow bag for high altitude trekking and expeditions
  • Medical facilities and services in the countryside are rare
  • Prevention of injury is always the best policy
  • Your guide will advise you in the case of urgent medical need during your tour TIPPIG
    Although you may not be used to leaving a tip in your home country tipping for service is becoming common practice throughout ASIA. Though there is no fixed tipping rates and you can give as much as you want and as much as you are happy and satisfied with their works.

    PROBLEMS ON TOUR
    If there's a problem that your trek guide can not solve for you, we would rather you brought it promptly to our attention than allow it to spoil the enjoyment of your holiday. You may call at our office in the contact numbers provided in your itinerary.
