Mani Rimdu Festival Trek Thyanboche Monastery 3800m.

The most important festival in Khumbu valley is called Mani Rimdu. This renowned 3 days long festival held every year in Tyangboche Monastery. This traditional Sherpa ritual consists of a nine day meditation cycle (Drupchen) and ends up with a public blessing ceremony (Tshe-wang) given by the Rinpoche (the head of the monk) and followed by the world renowned Mask Dances (Tsam-li-bulu) at monastery courtyard the whole day long and afterwards the Sherpa community sing and dance the whole night long.

Our journey begins with an “eye opening” mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. After having some wonderful day trekking in the Khumbu valley, we head to Gokyo, where we explore a crystal clear mountain lake and crossing over the Cho-La Pass we reach to the base of the world’s highest Mt. Everest. After having wonderful time with the magnificent views of entire Khumbu region we descent downhill following the main Everest classic trail to Tanboche where we will witness Manirimdu Festival. This is very interesting and worth of sharing. The trek offers an enduring experience of natural beauty, geological magnificence and profound cross-cultural discovery. Sherpas, the local residents believe that all things - mountains, plants and animals are sacred in this area. After spending 3 days in Tenboche, we descent to Dudhkoshi River valley at Phakdinma and steep up on the other side to Lukla. On the next day we will fly back to Kathamndu.
