Helambu Trek

Next to Solu and Khumbu, another hub of Sherpa community is Helambu. The quick and best way to witness Sherpa culture is to trek in Helambu region. The villages like Tarke Ghyang and Sermathang are excellent places where one can see Sherpa life up close and personal. This easy and enjoyable trek starts with a scenic half an hour drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal and provides an instant Himalayan journey for those who have limited time and want to combine other activities within Nepal, like City tours, White water rafting, Wildlife safari, etc. This trip concludes with a drive down via Panchkhal after overnight camp at Melamche Pool.

Day 1:	Arrive Kathmandu. Receive and transfer to hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2:	AM: Kathmandu City Tour. PM: Trek briefing. Overnight at hotel. [B]
Day 3:	Drive Katimanud – Sundarijal – trek Chisapani. Overnights at lodge during the whole trek. [BLD]
Day 4:	Trek Chisapani - Kutumsang. [BLD]
Day 5:	Trek Kutumsang - Thadepati (3510 m.). [BLD]
Day 6:	Trek Thadepati - Tarkeygyang. [BLD]
Day 7:	Rest day in Tarkeygyang. [BLD]
Day 8:	Trek Tarkeygyang - Sarmathang. [BLD]
Day 9:	Trek Sarmathang - Melamchepul. [BLD]
Day 10:	Drive Melamchipul - Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel. [BL]
Day 11:	Free day. This day can be used for optional sightseeing/shopping in Kathmandu. Overnights at hotel. [B]
Day 12:	Depart Kathamndu. Transfer to airport for final departure. [B]
