We have graded all our expedition trips in to the following grade so that you can choose whichever suits your capabilities.
Glacier and Peak
Height altitude accedes 5000 meters; involves high altitude passes with some challenging glacier walk and or basic mountaineering peaks; involves remote or poorly defined trails in variable weather conditions. Previous technical mountaineering experience is not necessary but some extreme trekking and high altitude walking experience are preferable.. Ropes may be used during treks for glacier travel and steeper sections of ice and snow.
Advance Mountaineering Expeditions
High altitude exceeds 6000 meters; involves low to moderate angle snow slopes and traveling on crevassed glaciers. Experience using ice axe and crampons is essential & basic climbing experience with physical fitness is highly recommended. Some aerobic exercise, running and cycling in hilly areas is particularly beneficial.
Extreme Mountaineering Expeditions
High altitude exceeds 7000 meters; involves steep climbing at high altitude carrying load, setting up of camps, cooking and camp craft. Some of these also involve “technical” climbing and are for experienced alpine climbers / mountaineers only. Participant must posses good healthy, have previous climbing experience and good climbing technical knowledge. Aerobic exercise at least four days a week, running and cycling in hilly areas is particularly beneficial.
