Oman Air launching flights to Kathmandu ::
Kathmandu: 22 August, 2010:

In a bid to bring in more visitors during Nepal Tourism Year 2011 campaign, Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation has proposed the government to waive off visa free for foreign visitors at least during the campaign period.
Oman’s national carrier, the Oman Air launching its flights from Muscat to Kathmandu from 2 September 2010. Kathmandu will be the 40th destination of Oman Air network and will be operating with a Boeing 737-700 offering both Business and Economy Class cabins.
According to the local media sources, Mr. Peter Hill the CEO of Oman Air said, "Kathmandu is a much awaited destination and Oman Air would like to extend its business in the region the opportunity to experience one of the most naturally beautiful places in the world. Furthermore,

in addition to the huge demand for flights from Nepalese who works in Oman and its neighbor countries, we are expecting to see most significant corporate and leisure traffic, which is important to the economic development of Nepal. Oman Air is pleased to support this growth with its new services."
